a little bit about me!

I didn’t always plan on being a graphic designer— I started university working towards a degree in K-8 Education with a certificate for Teacher of Students with Disabilities and a concentration in Earth Science (whew). Education is still something I am passionate about, however, I realized that I had another interest I wanted to explore and learn about— graphic design. I think that ten-year-old me who would hold her parent’s Sony digital camera and newly purchased iPhone hostage to take pictures of anything and everything was starting to find her passion for design through photography. During COVID I realized that if this pandemic would teach me anything, it would be to live in the present and do what feels right, and switching my major to pursue design felt just that— right. As someone who went from pursuing being an athlete, to an educator, to a graphic designer, I firmly believe that growth and change are important, and because of that my design changes and grows with me. I aspire to be part of something that uses art, design, and influence to positively impact this world while allowing me to improve as a designer.
